Initiative
INITIATIVE
Do you recognize things that your husband might need done before he has to ask for them?
“She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.” Proverbs 31:27
Initiative? You’ve got to be kidding! I’m totally worn out. I barely get the necessities accomplished these days.
I admit it. I got lazy for a while and was not exercising everyday like I started out doing. Other than playing volleyball once a week I had gotten into a slump where I didn’t feel like doing much of anything. Thankfully, though, I am now walking several miles each week, to and from two different destinations. I didn’t really plan this as an exercise program, but it has worked out well. It’s either pay less than a dollar to hop on the back of a motorcycle (a native driving, like a taxi), which I could do, or walk. I simply choose to walk and I really enjoy it!
Because of exercising and my body feeling better, I have more energy to accomplish my tasks. I find myself looking for the next thing to do, instead of looking up from my book or computer screen and thinking, “Oh no! I forgot to…”
What about you? What encourages you to not to be idle? Perhaps you are in a rut or you simply need to remind yourself of your life purpose.
